Bayliner Introduces the All-New 170 Outboard
Bayliner is expanding its lineup of versatile, priced-right Outboards for 2012 with the introduction of the 170, the dynamic outboard-powered cousin to Bayliner’s fully redesigned 2012 175 Bowrider. The 170 Outboard delivers the unparalleled experience of Bayliner ownership through stunning design, approachable functionality, and remarkable onboard space and storage for a boat its size.
The 170 Outboard’s design, functionality and performance have all been maximized, starting with the hull. It features Bayliner’s signature Beam Forward Design, which extends the widest part of the boat farther toward the bow, creating more passenger and storage space aboard. The hull carves out a deep, roomy cockpit, as well, distinguishing the 170 as one of the most spacious and storage-rich boats in its class. The deep freeboard also ensures a safe ride for the entire crew, including small children and pets.
The aggressive, stylish hull doesn’t just lend the boat an attractive profile and more onboard space it also helps deliver impressive performance coupled with fuel-efficient Mercury outboard power. Mercury provides reliable low-maintenance propulsion for Bayliner’s full lineup of Outboard models. The 170 comes equipped with a standard 90-hp DFI OptiMax, with engine options ranging up to a 125-hp DFI OptiMax.
Families who get their thrills from watersports will appreciate the 170 Outboard’s optional ski tow pylon, as well as the cavernous in-floor storage compartment, which is ideal for skis, wakeboards and other gear. For more air, customers can opt for the Flight Series Package, which adds a new, forward-sweeping wakeboard tower, integrated Bimini top and aggressive Flight Series graphics. Factor in all-new interior styling including fresh upholstery patterns, and the sporty 170 has the look of a competition ski boat.
In addition to the Flight Series Package, an optional Fishing Package is available on the 170, which includes an eight-gallon aerated livewell, 12V MotorGuide® bow-mount wireless trolling motor with quick-release mount, a Garmin Echo 150 fishfinder, a non-skid bow casting platform and pedestal seat, and hullside rod storage.
